As your doula, I will work with you and your partner to prepare for your upcoming birth. Whether this is your first birth or your 5th, I’ll provide the emotional, educational and physical support you need not only during labor, but throughout your pregnancy and postpartum as well.

As your doula, my goal is to provide you and your partner with the support, care, understanding, and information you need throughout, during, and after the birthing process.
What is a Doula?
Doulas provide emotional, physical and informational support for both the mother and other family members before, during and after the birth of your new addition. Your family knows you, but as your doula my job is to get to know you and share my knowledge of birth.
Studies show a 50% reduction in Cesarean births and a 25% shorter labor when a doula is present.
I'm Lindsay and as your doula, I will work with you to achieve the labor you desire. I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle. As a certified Birth Doula, I am honored to be able to contribute my expertise to women and families.
A little about me.......
I'm Lindsay and I'm so glad you're here! I'm a mom of 4 and since I was 12 years old I have wanted to be involved in the birthing process. Twelve-year old me told someone "I want to catch babies in the Amazon." And while I haven't yet caught a baby in the Amazon, I am passionately pursuing my dream.
In 2016 my family relocated from North Georgia to Columbia, SC where I opened and ran a cloth diaper charity for 3 years. It was in Columbia that my love for birth was rekindled.
After three disenchanting hospital birth experiences, I found myself with the renewed desire to see women have the birth experience they longed for; to feel respected, safe and valued in their birth experience.
In 2018 I became a certified birth doula and have had the honor of serving families both at home and in the hospital. My fourth child was born in the safety of our home in 2019, further securing my passion for birth. I actually caught her myself! And yes! There was a midwife present!
I'm currently working towards the goal of becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (so one day I can catch those babies in The Amazon). I am certified in BLS/CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation, Relaxation-Based Pain Relief, the functional assessment of ties and oral tethers, and as a doula. I am currently finishing up my certification in lactation counseling and I would love the opportunity to sit down with you over a cup of herbal tea or coffee and talk about your upcoming birth!
